1 - who wants a lab... ever? these spastic dogs are totally unruly.

2 - who wants a lab... specifially this lab. this adorable spastic unruly hyper licking lab is free to a good home.. or sorta good home.. or someone who has a home.. or shed.. or box...

Isn't it ironic...

Santa Barabara is having its wine festival not in Santa Barbara, but Lompoc. I know Santa Barbara. But here's what I know about Lompoc.

-Mom calls it Lom-puke. (she worked there)

-It has not one - but TWO prisons

-They talk about it on Law & Order

Maybe it's just me, but I'm thinking a wine festival that advertises in Wine Spectator as The Santa Barbara Vintner's Festival - really should be closer to the Pacific than the local Prison.

So Cold...

It's so cold in our house that even Bella will wear slippers... of course they're not hers, and the owner is not too fond of her wearing them. But I think it's downright A-dorable.

Growing Garden..

Now that I'm sharing some of my organically home-grown veggies - I've realized how long it's been since I posted some pics.

First - my rows of salad greens and garlic... and second, I thought we would only get one head of broccoli per plant - OOPS!

Hot Chicks...

My man takes me to this "General Store" outside of town. As we walk in, I see a sign that says "Guinea Pig Show."

Me: Who would buy a guinea pig at a general store?

Him: I hope a lot of people because the ones they don't sell will end up being cooked here at the BBQ Tent.

Me: Not Cute.

So he decides to try his humor on the guy who let me hold this long-haired Portuguese Guinea...

THE GUY LAUGHED!! Worse, he proceeded to tell us about how at some rodeo where they were having a rabbit show - they actually did sell barbecued rabbit.

WRONG.

Oh - here's the picture of the hot chick... which my man will quickly point out is actually a duck. I don't care. Hot duck didn't make for a very sexy title.

A Lesser Mom...

...wouldn't have walked her dog this morning!! That said, it was a shorter version of our daily walk.

Texas Sunset

Sometimes -at work- we end up out in the sticks. This day was Elgin, trying to find some teacher charged with child porn - who does NOT live at this turkey farm - but we like the turkeys so we took a picture... I digress.

My point, the drive home wasn't too bad.

Something Green....

Notice something green?? The organic lettuce from my garden is finally making its way to our dinner plates.. even getting a thumbs up from the little one!

(course his rice went before the lettuce.. and so did his chicken.. but the salad was eaten eventually!)
