Santa Barabara is having its wine festival not in Santa Barbara, but Lompoc. I know Santa Barbara. But here's what I know about Lompoc.
-Mom calls it Lom-puke. (she worked there)
-It has not one - but TWO prisons
-They talk about it on Law & Order
Maybe it's just me, but I'm thinking a wine festival that advertises in Wine Spectator as The Santa Barbara Vintner's Festival - really should be closer to the Pacific than the local Prison.
you forgot your mother told you Lompuke has one of the most beautiful golf courses in the country coupled with the best climate in California - it has a beautiful beach - although some access is blocked by the mighty Vandenberg Air Force base which shoots off the rockets..... and it only has one prison, although it can boastthe highest crime rate in Santa Barbara County -
